The Ann’s Place mission is simple, yet profound: To provide comfort and support to people living with cancer and to their loved ones. Their primary goal is to improve the quality of life of those with cancer. First established in 1991, Ann’s Place fills the void between medical care and the psychosocial needs of cancer patients – men, women & children. All services and materials are provided free of charge. Ann’s Place provides professional and compassionate support services to individuals and families whose lives have been affected by cancer.

In January of 2025, Patti's family donated $5000 to Ann's Place on behalf of "LOVE PATTI". The money came from proceeds from our Inaugural event in August, 2024. Patti lived her life with strength, kindness and passion for her family, friends, fitness and community. She believed in working hard, supporting others, and finding joy in every moment. LOVE PATTI gives multiple scholarships annually to graduating 8th graders from two schools: St. Mary's School in Bethel, CT, and St. Theresa School in Bronx, NY. These students, who much like Patti, have shown a deep commitment to their community, strong character, and a spirit that uplifts the people around them. Their teachers, school staff and parish leaders recognized in them the same qualities that defined Patti: perseverance, kindness, and an ability to lead with love.

The first Patti Aurrichio Ricco Memorial Scholarships were awarded to ten students at St. Mary's and St. Theresa's in June of 2025. "Love, Patti" welcomed them to our 2nd Annual Family Fun Day on August 23, 2025. We were honored to have five of them attend our celebration. CONGRATS TO ALL!
Patti began teaching PE at St. Mary School in September of 2022 and unfortunately was not able to finish the school year due to her illness. While she was there, she developed a strong bond with the community in her students as well as her co-educators. Patti loved her work with the children, thought very highly of the institution, staff, parish and students and intended to give back to it.
St. Theresa School is Patti’s alma mater. She graduated from the school in 1998 where she was a student athlete. Patti volunteered in the St. Theresa Parish after her graduation as a basketball coach and for their annual feast.
Debbie’s Dream Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness about stomach cancer, advancing funding for research, and providing education and support internationally to patients, families, and caregivers. DDF seeks as its ultimate goal to make the cure for stomach cancer a reality.

Our Vision is that stomach cancer will no longer be fatal. If not curable, it will be a manageable disease.

Patti lost a brief but fierce battle with stomach cancer and was taken way too soon. In the months that followed, her husband and children sought out assistance to help them through this tragic loss. They found “Ann’s Place” in Danbury, CT. Ann’s Place provides comfort, support, and resources to people with cancer and their loved ones. We encourage and support the mission of Ann’s Place.

Our family also sought comfort from Debbie's Dream, as stomach cancer devastated our family by taking our beautiful Patti. We connected with Natalie of Debbie's Dream. We were honored to welcome her and her mom at our August 2025 Love Patti Family Fun Day event, where they shared info about The Debbie's Dream Foundation.
